Our pre-seed round and the beta launch of our integration for Zoom Meetings

It’s been a year and a half since the pandemic hit and for many, remote work is now just how work is done. Many companies have pivoted to remote-first, others have changed their policies to allow recruiting remote employees, and even companies that insisted on hybrid return to office policies have now pushed back those plans to 2022 due to the recent COVID surges. Now that remote work is clearly here to stay, how do we push the envelope and reimagine age old paradigms? 

We started Spinach.io. to help distributed teams be more effective because we fundamentally believe that working from home does not mean you have to be any less productive - armed with the right tools you can actually be far MORE productive! Our mission is to help teams unlock that productivity with more effective scrum meetings and workflows.

For the past few months we’ve been busy bringing on investors and team members that believe in our mission and building our first product, and today we’re excited to announce our pre-seed funding round and the launch of our product in private beta!

We partnered with awesome investors and just closed a $2.75M pre-seed round, led by Cardumen Capital with participation from Zoom Video Communications, Inc., Tuesday Capital (formerly CrunchFund), Liron Petrushka (seed investor in LendingClub, Zillow, Next Insurance), Yoni Assia (eToro Founder & CEO) and other investors. 

Our first product is an integration for Zoom Meetings that helps teams run more productive, inclusive and fun daily stand-ups. If you consider a team of six doing thirty minute daily stand-ups, the time spent in stand-ups amounts to over 750 hours per year; while running stand-ups is well worth the time investment when those stand-ups are effective, that isn’t always the case. With Spinach.io you’ll make it count and crush daily stand-ups, leading to better sprints and outcomes. You’ll get:
